My goji berries are ready to pick, and we've got a recipe to share with you. This hardy superfood fruits throughout the year, and is rated all the way down to USDA zone 4 - practically anyone can grow it!

I fertilize this tree with granular fertilizer once in the Spring, but leave it alone for the rest of the year. Water regularly same as non-tropical fruits (every 2-3 days in summer, once a week rest of year).

Here are some of the top reasons I love goji berry:
1. It's one of the fruits I saw all the time when I lived in China (nostalgia).
2. Very very easy shrub to grow.
3. Usable as a privacy hedge that grows to about 6-10 feet tall.
4. Stays evergreen in my zone (will be deciduous in colder climates).
5. A unique fruit that most yard don't have.

My 2 red goji berry bushes were planted about 1.5 years ago, and started producing almost immediately. They're now about 3 feet tall.

Stick around for the second half of this video where we share an easy recipe that we cook goji berries with -- Chinese chicken soup!
