Orange button that its not the button. That stayed in my childhood memory.
Gorenje WA 606 X Type PS A 060 Washing Machine.
This one was not Made in Yugoslavia any more. Known for reliability and rust issues. Another big restoration project took quite some time and patience to finish it in its original glory.
Machine needed everything. Well, almost everything. Inox tub probably saved it to run that long, since it was full of calc, but it did clean up nicely in the end.
Rust was sanded down from the machine casing and it was completly reapainted with gloss white.
I needed to replace main bearings, shaft seal, door rubber tunner, connecting hose tub-filter, pump o-ring, pump filter seal, pump filter latch, machine top cover (old one was just too rusty) and replacement Selni motor was replaced with Sever Subotica motor from a different machine with a little bit of modification with spare bushes. Original motor capactior gusshed out its electrolyte, si it also needed to be replaced.
It was a full restoration process, because every part was cleaned, tested and tried to be restored to original state.
Was it worth it? For me, yes. For ex owner of the machine, it was just scrap metal.
Test run with some whites and cloths on 90°C.
