Let’s try another micro swipe butterfly! Last year I made a Monarch butterfly on a milkweed flower, and today I’m making a Ulysses Swallowtail in a jungle background.

For this two-layer pour, I started with a wandering straight pour to make a dynamic green background. Once that dried, I created a stencil out of frog tape and did a micro swipe inside it! Then I brush-painted a few details to bring the butterfly to life.
My paint is all mixed with floetrol (about 2:1 floetrol to paint) and thinned water to a medium-thin consistency. Paint-mixing video is here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGXPSpLXPNg
I had no silicone in any paints except the ones with *asterisks.
