Well, I think it’s been a little while since I’ve had trouble getting into a song because of its structure and unsurprisingly, most of the time, the songs are from SM… BUT most of the time, I do enjoy the weird structure and change of style and genre which is why I’m so shocked to having so much trouble getting into this one. And it makes me so mad because there are SO MANY good parts in this song! The beginning of the bridge which has 90’ 2000’ rnd vibes are immaculate, the chorus is actually great, the baby baby part and woo part catch as hell. Together though? I’m not sure. The thing is, with such an amazing and royal lineup, they could do so much and they go for something like this? I feel like this is almost a missed opportunity in a way but SM is doing SM right?!
I might sound harsh but it’s almost like the song didn’t allow them to shine individually which is weird because they definitely each had a part and screen time etc but it’s almost like the song swallowed their personality here if that even makes sense.
The visuals are impeccable though, you can’t do more perfect than this tbh, the attitude and charisma is refreshing to see coming from some of the members, love this! I mean, the MV is cool is nice but once again, with such lineup, there could be so much more done. At least in my opinion.
I don’t dislike the song but I will really have to get used to the structure because I genuinely want to enjoy this! And I’ll own it, I’m completely blinded by my bias here since I love this lineup so much and am willing to overlook some things but even so, right now, I’m having a hard time loving this 100%! I’m curious to see how this song will grow in me though.
