Hello everyone! In this tutorial I show you how to achieve a smooth blend and transition with gouache paint. I also show you the technique I use to paint realistic looking water. Hope you enjoy!
✦ MATERIALS USED ✦
➫ canson watercolour paper 300gsm: https://amzn.to/3dsoT0Y (US) https://amzn.to/3hVTA29 (AU)
➫ winsor and newton gouache: primary red, spectrum red, permanent yellow deep, primary yellow, primary blue or ultramarine blue, white, black: https://amzn.to/37UkByp (US)
➫ brushes: 3/4" flat brush, 1/4" flat brush, round brush (silver black velvet 3000s, size 4)
➫ spray bottle (for misting paints on the palette to keep it fresh)
Note*** if you want a warmer colour for the water, use a warmer blue (e.g. ultramarine blue). If you like the colour of the water in this video, use a cooler blue (e.g. phthalo blue).
