Brief context:
Dirty Work is an AU I came up with way back in 2022, and have kept on the backburner since. It was named after the Steely Dan song, for lore related reasons. When the fandom resurged this year with the release of The Book of Bill, I got nostalgic and started working on it again. The story follows college-age Ford as he 'studies' a fellow student who claims to have psychic abilities, despite being a skeptic. This eventually leads to a strange partnership, in which Jolene or 'Joel' helps Ford seek out the source of cryptids in Gravity Falls, years after they've graduated. Hilarity and angst ensues!
