Oliver (Eddie Albert) brings his glamorous wife, Lisa (Eva Gabor), to their new home, a ramshackle farm near Hooterville, just outside of Pixley, where she gets to meet the town's oddball residents…most of whom are laying odds on how long it will be before the Douglases move back to New York City. Meanwhile, Mr. Haney (Pat Buttram) reveals just how much didn't come with the farm, and Eb (Tom Lester) lobbies hard to become Oliver's handyman! Kate Bradley (Bea Benaderet), Uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan), Charley Pratt (Smiley Burnette), Floyd Smoot (Rufe Davis) and Sam Drucker (Frank Cady) pay a visit from "Petticoat Junction."
