In this video, we take a look at goofs from the classic TV series Green Acres starring Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor, along with some fun trivia facts. See lots of continuity errors, a line blooper, car goofs where their car's interior changes color from one scene to the next.
I go over some of the old tricks used on classic television series such as the practice of taking out the windshield of an automobile to prevent glare and reflection into the camera. I show instances of phony backdrops and some fun guest star appearances like Hal Smith from the Andy Griffith Show.
See props disappear and appear right before your eyes as if by magic. I look at how the Beverly Hillbillies was both just a TV series on Green Acres as well as a set of characters that existed in the same universe.
Green Acres was part of the Hooterville universe which existed in the same town as the cast of Petticoat Junction. Many of the stars of that show overlapped into Green Acres such as Sam Drucker played by Frank Cady. The series also starred Tom Lester as Eb Dawson, Alvy Moore as Hank Kimball, Hank Patterson as Fred Ziffel, and Pat Buttram as Mr. Haney. I also, take a look at a couple of guest spots Green Acres stars did on other shows like Knight Rider, the Munsters, and the Outer Limits.
