समुद्र तल से 1,173 फीट की ऊँचाई पर गुजरात के चोटिला में चामुंडा माताजी का मंदिर एक पहाड़ी पर बना हुआ हैं.
भक्तों के लिए माँ के दर्शन के लिए 700 से अधिक चिढ़ीया उन्हें माँ के द्वार तक पहुंचाती हैं. चढ़ाई में सुविधा के लिए रास्ते को स्टील पाइप से बनाया गया हैं साथ ही साथ छाया की व्यवस्था भी हैं.
पहाड़ी की गोदी में एक छोटा बाजार भी हैं जहाँ से श्रद्धालु माँ की पूजा के लिए नारियल, प्रसाद आदि ले सकते हैं. यदि आप अपने परिवार एवं बच्चों के साथ माताजी के दर्शन करने जा रहे हैं तो आपकों 30 मिनट का चढ़ाई का सफर तय करना होता हैं.
इस चढ़ान को पार करने के बाद आप Chamunda Mataji Temple में प्रवेश करेगे. मंदिर में कई हवन वेदियाँ बनी हैं. जहाँ माता जी की जोत जलती रहती हैं.
Chamunda Mataji Temple Chotila में Photo या विडियो बनाने की पूर्ण मनाही हैं. चोटिला पहुँचने के लिए आपकों गुजरात के सुरेन्द्रनगर जिले जाना होगा, जो राजकोट के पास ही हैं.
The Mataji temple is situated at the top of Chotila Mountain. Chotila Mountain is around 1250 feet high and is located around 40 miles away from Rajkot, and around 50 miles away from Ahmedabad.
चामुंडा माताजी मंदिर चोटिला का इतिहास :-
प्राचीन काल में चोटिला को छोटगढ़ कहा जाता था। यह मूल रूप से सोढा परमार की पकड़ थी, लेकिन खगड़ कथियों द्वारा जगसीओ परमार से जीत हासिल की गई थी जिसने इसे अपनी प्रमुख सीटों में से एक बना दिया था।
खाचर कैथी के अधिकांश लोग चोटिला घर में अपनी उत्पत्ति का पता लगाते हैं। चोटिला को 1566 ई। में काठियों द्वारा अधिग्रहित किया गया था। यह ब्रिटिश काल के दौरान एक एजेंसी थाना का मुख्यालय है.
