Gunpowder, Treason and Plot - Documentary, C4 2001

A 2001 UK Channel 4 documentary (with dramatised scenes) about the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. A lovely specimen of the form (quality late 90s-early 2000s British TV history documentaries). Gets into a fair bit of the politics as well as the details of events. Best watched in a dark room, in front of an open fire, with the cold November wind howling outside and the skeletal fingers of bare trees tapping on your windows. (NOT the similarly-titled Jimmy McGovern drama with Clémence Poésy and Robert Carlyle.)
