ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੋਤੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਜਰੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
