Foreign guys who date Thai women are stereotypically branded 'mongers' or 'sex tourists' because mainstream media puts a sleazy, suspicious spin on it, which is sometimes inaccurate and ridiculous. That's not to say there's no sleaze or red lights, or dodgy bargirls about, it's just that so many men fall in love with them. Thailand's nightlife is legendary in places like Bangkok and Pattaya. It's an adult playground, and I have a sneaky feeling there's a wiff of jealousy from these haters! There are plenty of guys who don't fit their ideal stereotype and not every Thai woman is a goldigging hustler with a sick buffalo back home in the village, times have changed. But there are many farangs who arrive here ready to fall for the first bargirl who looks at them. Men are falling in love very quickly and easily with Thai women. Why?
