Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Quick and easy CV Joint replacement on a Lexus GX470. There were many videos on how to do this task, but I couldn't find one that didn't involve removing suspension components. This method only removes the sway bar link and the bolts connecting the hub spindle to the lower control arm. None of the alignment bolts or ball joints are messed with, so you shouldn't need an alignment post install. It's also really easy. Tools needed: 12mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm, 35mm sockets Ratchets Torque Wrench Breaker Bar Impact driver (electric or air)...could be done with a breaker bar, but not recommended. Rubber Mallet Small sledge hammer Jack Stand and hydraulic jack Safety glasses (especially if your vehicle is dusty underneath!) crowbar or impact screwdriver (flat head) 6mm allen bucket to catch diff oil 75w90 oil to top off the differential Channel Locks/pliers Kano Kroil or other penetrant oil 0:00 Tire removal 1:35 Dust Cover and Cotter Pin Removal 3:01 Sway Bar link Removal 5:21 Axle nut removal 6:24 Lower Control Arm bolt removal 8:12 CV Axle Removal 10:15 CV Axle Installation 13:46 Lower Control Arm bolt reinstallation 16:21 Sway Bar Link reinstallation 17:38 Axle nut installation
