Hey we're back again on the 1948 GMC. This time I'll be replacing the inner cowl panel. Before that can begin I'll need to pull and stress relieve the existing damage on the door post and outer cowl. I'll also need to test fit the door to make sure I'm on the right track. The last thing I want to do is weld damage into the cab, by that I mean weld in a new panel while the surrounding area is still under stress from previous damage. I'll be using an aftermarket inner cowl panel, so I'll show some ideas for how to get the best fit out of a replacement panel that doesn't fit, as well as a few hacks for making these inner cowl panels faster and easier to install on the 1947-1954 Trucks.
