2025年2月12日撮影。字幕あり。今回は長野県白馬村の白馬岩岳マウンテンリゾートへ行ってきました。岩岳といえば、自分にとって３０年ほど前に何度も訪れたスキー場。この日、岩岳で一番驚いたのは、ゴンドラを待つスキーヤーやスノーボーダーの行列の長さでした。それはまるで、バブル景気のスキー場を思い出させる光景でしたが、およそ８割の人たちがインバウンドの外国人。ある意味、白馬はバブルの只中にいるのではないか、とも思いました。一方、岩岳は近年、通年楽しめる場所となっていると聞いており、絶景のテラスやブランコなど施設の充実ぶりにも驚かされました。

Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort. Inbound boom reminiscent of the ski boom during the bubble era
English subtitled. Convert subtitles to your native language. Taken on February 12, 2025. This time I went to Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture. Iwatake is a ski resort that I visited many times about 30 years ago. What surprised me the most at Iwatake that day was the long line of skiers and snowboarders waiting for the gondola. It was a scene that reminded me of ski resorts in the bubble economy in Japan, however about 80% of the people were inbound foreigners. In a sense, Hakuba is in the midst of a bubble economy. On the other hand, I heard that Iwatake has become a year-round destination in recent years, and I was surprised at the variety of facilities, including terraces with spectacular views and swings.
