DIY Half Barrel Pond
I bought a whiskey barrel from a Scottish distillery. It came in two halves which I made into two garden ponds.
The barrels do hold water but I found that the wood released substances (presumably whiskey) into the water which polluted it. To protect the plants and fish I used pond liner within the barrels.
