The tools that you use for Hand Appliqué make the process easier. You'll use a range of needles - the bigger the number, the smaller the needle. Recommendation: nothing larger than a size 10 (Roxanne). Thread recommendation: YLI silk thread or 50 weight cotton thread. (Use a Thread Donut by Superior Threads to hold assortment of cotton thread.) Thread Conditioner (Thread Heaven) will help prepare cotton thread. Use the Clover Desk Needle Threader to thread your needle. Follow along for how to knot your thread to prevent it from slipping out of the needle.
