Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This is a video of trains arriving and departing one after another at Shinkaichi Station on the Kobe Kousoku Line of the Hanshin and Hankyu trains in Japan (on a holiday at the end of the year, in the evening, from 5pm to 7pm). The video shows the Hankyu Kobe Line express and local Hankyu trains that turn around at Shinkaichi Station, the direct express and limited express trains of the Hanshin Electric Railway, and the Sanyo Electric Railway (direct express, local and local trains) that run from Himeji.

The Hankyu Railway was running a wrapped train called "Tom and Jerry Train." (The first one is next to the Sanyo Electric Railway.)

The Sanyo Electric Railway also operated a train with a headmark commemorating Vissel Kobe's consecutive J1 League championships and Emperor's Cup victory, which was a double crown in the season.

The Hankyu Railway also ran a train with a "first shrine visit" headmark. (Photo taken at the end of 2024)

The Hanshin Electric Railway's "Local Train to Hanshin Kobe Sannomiya" departing from Sumaura Park was also seen.

Hankyu Limited Express trains turn back directly to Osaka-Umeda Station on the middle track (platforms 2 and 3) of the 2-platform, 3-track platform, while other trains bound for Kobe-Sannomiya, Osaka-Umeda, and Himeji arrive and depart on the tracks at either end (platforms 1 and 4).
Although it is a Hankyu station where Hankyu Limited Express trains also turn back, the announcements are the same as at Hanshin Electric Railway stations.

Hankyu Limited Express trains bound for Shinkaichi usually turn back directly at platforms 2 and 3 to head for Osaka-Umeda, but there have also been occasions when another Hankyu Limited Express train bound for Shinkaichi arrived at platform 4 while the station was stopped at platforms 2 and 3. That train turns back on the main line on the Himeji side, enters the station after the trains at platforms 2 and 3 have departed, and becomes a local train bound for Osaka-Umeda.

*Currently, this section of the track is owned by the Kobe Rapid Railway, and both Hanshin and Hankyu operate it as the Hanshin Kobe Rapid Line (Motomachi to Nishidai) and the Hankyu Kobe Rapid Line (Kobe-Sannomiya to Shinkaichi). (Sanyo Railway also enters)
