Designed and built this coffee table as a 40th birthday present for my brother. The table was built out of beautiful messmate timber, with epoxy filled holes, and was ultimately finished with hardwax oil. Tried to keep the design as clean and timeless as possible - so he can hopefully hold onto it forever.
Most of the pieces were joined together with dominoes, and figure 8 connectors were used to secure the top to the base, allowing for seasonal wood movement.
The build wasn't too complex in the end... but did still take a fair amount of work! Super happy with how it turned out - I might have to build another one for myself in the future.
