Harry der Boghosian Fellowship Symposium. September 19, 2024. Syracuse University School of Architecture.
Conceived and organized by Christina Chi Zhang and Jess Myers.
Welcome to our symposium, Space-Making through Stories and Rituals, where we explore the dynamic intersection of narrative and social change. The panel includes a diverse group of practitioners— a puppeteer, a paper animator, a memory forager, and a community storyteller—each offering unique insights into how storytelling can serve as a powerful tool for resistance, activism, and the decentralization of perspectives.
Together, we will celebrate storytelling as a tool for making spaces of inclusion, challenging conventional narratives, and inspiring collective action.
Christina Chi Zhang and Jess Myers moderated the discussion.
