Freeform crochet means creating a crochet surface with any stitches, shapes and colors that you like. No pattern, just going with the flow. Everything you want to do is right! See also a newer Freeform Crochet video: https://youtu.be/KQJIPn7yNH0
I'm showing the start of a new freeform piece. This is not a step by step tutorial but giving you tips and examples of what you could do. However, the video shows you many different stitches and there are links to more detailed tutorials of those stitches below. Also for an advanced crocheter it improves your crochet skills, especially if you have mainly used ready-made patterns until now. In freeform you work out how many stitches and rows work best for the result you want to achieve. This can greatly improve your understanding of how a crochet surface is created.
