Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, is a classic comic-book hero and a longstanding member of the Avengers. In this video, I compare the two major depictions of this character from the last decade, the one portrayed by Jeremy Renner in such MCU/Marvel films as Civil War, Avengers, and Endgame, as well as Chris Cox's version from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I argue that these two characters are fundamentally the same person, differentiated mainly by one key point of divergence - a flaw both versions struggle with but MCU Hawkeye was able to defeat far earlier than his animated counterpart.
