কিছু কথা:
ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশের অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ কণ্ঠশিল্পী হেমন্ত মুখোপাধ্যায়। শুধু ছায়াছবির গানেই নয়, রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানের ক্ষেত্রেও আদর্শ নায়ক-কণ্ঠ তিনিই। বিভিন্ন ধারার গানের সাথে রবিগানেও তাঁর অসামান্য দক্ষতা ও জনপ্রিয়তার কথা আলাদা করে বলা বাহুল্য মাত্র। প্রায় তিন দশক হয়ে গেল তিনি সশরীরে আমাদের মধ্যে নেই। তবু তাঁর গান রয়েছে আমাদের নিত্য-সঙ্গী হয়ে। কিন্তু মঞ্চানুষ্ঠানে হেমন্তবাবুর গান থেকে আমরা তো বর্তমানে বঞ্চিত - একথা মানতেই হবে। সেই অভাবকে খানিক পূরণ করতে 'পেরেনিয়াল রেকর্ডস' আপনাদের জন্য নিয়ে এসেছে সুধাকণ্ঠে গাওয়া একগুচ্ছ রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানের লাইভ রেকর্ডিংয়ের সংকলন। এই গানগুলি সবই আশির দশকে বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানে বিভিন্ন সময়ে গাওয়া। আমরা আশা রাখি অমৃতকণ্ঠে রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানের এই সংকলন শ্রোতাদের মন মুগ্ধ করতে সক্ষম হবে।
