Former Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Wu Bangguo, passed away in Beijing last Tuesday (October 8) due to illness at the age of 84.
During his tenure, Wu Bangguo was best known for proposing the "Five No's." Later, Xi Jinping's "Seven Don't Mentions" were also thought to have a clear connection to Wu Bangguo's "Five No's." As a result, he was regarded as a rather traditional national leader who opposed universal values.
