Robert Smith was a threat to score a touchdown every time he touched the ball. The dynamic Running back was a freshman star for the Ohio State Buckeyes, yet would quit the team as a sophomore due to disagreements with his coaches. Nonetheless, Robert Smith became a first-round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft, joining the Minnesota VIkings as a high-potential player, yet every time his career looked like it would take off, he would be hit with a new injury. Finally in the late 90s, he was able to stay healthy and with Smith playing alongside Cris Carter and Randy Moss, the Vikings became one of the most dominant offenses in NFL History, losing to the Atlanta Falcons in the 1998 NFC CHampionship in heartbreaking fashion. Then after Smith had the best and healthiest season of his career in 2000, he retired abruptly, choosing to leave the game with his health.
