Not only did Heath Kirchart do things that were unimaginable for the times, he did them with much grace. He is one of the very few that look correct skating a hand rail. This is a very difficult thing to do. When I asked Joey Sinko to do this edit I chose two Nirvana songs, because Heath's skating is really reminiscent of Cobain to me. Heath is probably the best example of a guy who decided to go out on top. He released his part in Alien Workshop's Mind Field (2009) and blew minds. And then it was pretty much a wrap. Once his pro career was done, he was free to do whatever he wanted, including delivering pizza, managing Emerica’s team, and… skating. Yes, Heath gave us a couple more clips in the Emerica video Stay Gold (2010) B-side, including the backside 360 nosegrab on the Mega Ramp. It all couldn’t have been more perfect.
