In this episode I provide the history on the Chevrolet S10 pickup and its SUV sibling, the S10 Blazer, beginning in 1982. GM also offered rebadged versions for GMC; the S15 Sonoma pickup and Jimmy SUV. These were the first compact trucks and SUV's that were American Built, and quickly gained competitors from Ford and Jeep. Later Oldsmobile would offer their version of the same SUV, called the Bravada. GMC also offered two high-performance versions, the Syclone pickup in 1991, and Typhoon SUV in 1992-93.

These pickups and SUV's would last two generations until their replacements in 2003, being replaced with the Colorado/Canyon pickups, and the Trailblazer/Envoy SUV's.
