Teaming up with the Tower Heritage Center, the crew stops by five historical sites, including the 1889 Courthouse, the 1886 Jailhouse, the Frisby House, the Schwartz Family House, and the Saxonia House. Our journey begins in West Bend at the Tower Heritage Center, home to the 1889 Courthouse, where we learn about its rich history and contemporary role in the community.

Next, we travel to the restored Schwartz Family House–a testament to Hartford's rich architectural heritage. Today, the building is recognized as a symbol of craftsmanship and utilized by the community as an event center, adding pages to its history books. Diving deep into the restoration process, we venture to a famous Fillmore landmark–the Saxonia House. Because of the Friends of Saxonia House, its Germanic architecture and original feel have been preserved, transporting visitors back in time. This historical quest comes full circle, as we return to the Tower Heritage Center, home to the Jailhouse and Frisby House. At the Jailhouse, we dig into the archives to share stories of early Washington County immigrants. Finally, we wrap our time at the Frisby House for a window restoration workshop, where we reflect on how the Tower Heritage Center continuously connects across generations.
