HIDDEN BACK ALLEY ISAN FOOD in BANGKOK 🇹🇭 Thai Grilled Chicken, Papaya Salad + More (ICON SIAM)

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Today I headed to Yum Rod Sab (ยำรสแซ่บ) near the famous Icon Siam Shopping Mall for some hidden backstreet Isan food. This little airconditioned Isan restaurant is located on one of my favourite streets in Bangkok for Thai street food, Charoen Nakhon. I ordered Yum Pladuk Foo (catfish 'salad'), Som Tum Pu Plara (papaya salad with fermented fish and crab), Som Tum Kor Moo Yang (papaya salad with grilled pork neck), Tom Saep (spicy soup), Gai Yang (grilled chicken) Khao Niao (sticky rice) and Gai Tod Takrai (fried chicken with lemongrass) for 400 baht which is £9.30 / $11. I didn't get the individual prices for some reason! If you are tired of eating at the Icon SiamFourt Court then this is the perfect spot. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this YouTube channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have! I’ve never understood travelling to a town or city and not eating the local food. How else do you really connect with a place? Let’s get out and explore together and I guarantee you’ll find a whole different side to this wonderful country. If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not! #bangkok2022 #thaistreetfood #bangkokstreetfood
