There's a lot of factors needed to make a duck hunt good, and we had just about all of them - cold front, high water, sunshine, high winds, and most of all just a few guys that can call and shoot. When we set up we were skeptical about the birds finishing correctly, but it was our only option due to the wind direction. Sometimes winging it pays off, because most of the ducks tried to land on top of the decoys. We knew we were going to shoot some ducks, but we didn't expect to leave with a three man limit of mallards. This is what Arkansas duck hunting is all about.
