It will be a video when I went to Yakushima for the first time in two years as revenge for the Yakushima traverse that was regretfully withdrawn last time.
I couldn't read the weather until the last minute and it was forecast to rain at one point, but this time the forecast was off in a good way and it was the best tent night traversing.
Yakushima was a fun mountain to walk, with not only open ridges, but also a sense of scale, beautiful forests, and Jomon cedars that you wouldn't think of as an island.
This time, I walked the most basic traverse from the Yodogawa trailhead through Mt. Miyanoura to Shiratani Unsuikyo.
