DRUNKEN KONG (Tronic)
DRUNKEN KONG is the project of D. Singh and DJ Kyoko. In 2010, the two started their project when one day, they suddenly decided to make a track together. Since then they have released two albums on Christian Smith's label Tronic, The Signs Within (2017) and Where We Start (2020) as well as numerous EPs and singles on labels such as Octopus, Stil Vor Talent, Terminal M while they remain active with domestic label such as Session WOMB. While touring around the globe, they have also been active in the Japanese scene, playing regularly at renowned venues such as WOMB, Contact Tokyo, Vision Tokyo, VENT, and Ageha.
DRUNKEN KONG collaborated with High in Japan team on a very special stream from Hill of the Buddha in Hokkaido. A very special place designed by the legendary modern Japanese architect, Tadao Ando, who is also treated as national treasure in Japan. Made up of arches of folded concrete, the tunnel is dimly lit to create a "womb-like" atmosphere, while the opening at the centre is naturally lit and surrounded by concertinaed concrete walls that narrow towards the sky. A very unique and special place in the northern island of Japan. Join us this Wednesday for a very special stream from this magical location!

This Buddha statue is known as the symbol of Makomanai Takino Cemetery. The recently created Hill of the Buddha, with the Atama Daibutsu at the center for worship, was created by world-famous architect Tadao Ando. “How does a statue become a more solemn , attractive figure? ”Ando asked himself. His bold answer was to cover the statue with a hill of lavender.
Surprisingly , one only sees the head of the statue surrounded by the landscape of the hill. Atama Daibutsu (The Buddha's Head) was named For its novel, impressive appearance.It stands in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape in all seasons.Thus has a new symbol of the cemetery been established.
