Adi Ganga :- The Adi Ganga is a small river flowing through Kolkata, South 24 parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. From the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries, the Adi Ganga was the main stream of the Hooghly River. From the seventeenth century onwards, this trend began to wane.
At one time the Adi ganga merged into the Bay of Bangal via Kalighat , Baruipur and Mogra in Kolkata.
