▼About Mikuni Festival
At the Mikuni Festival, one of the three major festivals in the Hokuriku region, it is said that the floats in the shape of today, with large dolls on top of the floats, began to appear about 300 years ago.
In the middle of the Meiji era, the height of the floats was more than 10 meters, and it is said that the heads of the brave warrior dolls could be seen from neighboring villages.
The current height is 6.5 meters, but the prosperity and spirit of the people of Minatomachi and Mikuni, which were nurtured by the Sea of Japan, have been passed down to this day.
