This was a fascinating tour of Southern California’s historic gold mining and the involved characters. If you’re lucky you could spot bears and wild horses in this area. We didn’t see any, but others we chatted to saw both! We found the campground to be a little grim, but that could have been the weather.
We would not recommend this tour for any low-profile vehicles, and you would be better off with a four-wheel drive for inclement weather.
