I'm Jhona and this is my cover of Holding Out For a Hero (ヒーロー Holding Out for a Heroカバー), the opening theme song of the TBS-kei Drama series, School Wars ~Nakimushi Sensei no 7-nen Sensou~" (スクール ウォーズ OP) originally sung by Miki Asakura (麻倉未稀). Also used in the Japanese dub version of Shrek, this is a Japanese cover of the song "Holding Out for a Hero" from the live action movie, "Footloose" in 1984 originally sung by Bonnie Tyler.

As for ヒーロー / Holding Out for a Hero, I chose this as my Christmas cover because at the end of the day, the true meaning that we’re celebrating this special day is because it’s the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 🌟 And yes, it’s true that each and every one of us can be our own hero (as the Japanese lyrics suggests) and it’s really admirable if you can achieve or already achieved that, but humans like us can only do so much in this world. And in our hearts and lives, we need a special kind of Hero, one that can protect and save us not only in this life, but also in the afterlife. 🤗
