Hollyford Pyke Loop, Packrafting - Fiordland, NZ

The story of our first packrafting trip in March 2022 to do the Hollyford Pyke Loop in beautiful Fiorldland, New Zealand. As newbies we decided to use one of PackraftingNZ's training and expedition trips, 2 days basic training followed by 5 days on the H-P Loop. Owner/guide Arno was awesome throughout and I'd highly recommend his company. A level of training makes sense as the rivers here are full of obstacles that could get beginners into trouble, primarily the large amount of partially sunken trees. Scenery is stunning throughout and the views from the rivers and the amazingly positioned Martins Bay Hut were truly memorable.
