For a hundred years, kaiju and dinosaurs have dominated cinema. From lost worlds to gigantic atomic beasts, from King Kong to Godzilla, from T-Rex to Gamera, we've seen so many giant monsters emerge throughout film history.

However, over time, a war has materialized: America vs Japan. American giant monsters and dinosaurs vs Japanese kaiju. This video analyzes the century spanning conflict between these two film industries and how people have reacted differently to them over the years.
