Im excited to be sharing this build with you guys. Adding a awning that easy to setup and holds up to the weather is such a nice addition when out camping in the direct sun or rain. Follow my instagram for more projects! @overlandunderbudget
-Each arm is 7 feet long and made from 3/4 inch square tubing with 1/16th wall thickness. Pipe used is 1inch "black pipe" or gas pipe available at teh hardware store. DOM tubing would be best, and i will use that for the next one. Arms spin on skateboard bearings using 5/16th bolts for the inner axel.
-Hinge plate is 3/16th steel plate
-Awning bag is made from 18oz VCP or "truck tarp"
-Current tarp is a super cheap 9mil 14x14 weave heavy duty tarp from harbor freight https://www.harborfreight.com/painting/tarps/heavy-duty-tarps/8-ft-3-inch-x-11-ft-6-inch-reflective-heavy-duty-silver-tarpaulin-30873.html
This is the second ever project that i used my welder for and I really encourage you guys to try your hand at it, it is so much easier then i thought.
Welder used is a Forney 220mp (MIG)
