I made this splitter last year in my garage. To date I have split over a hundred cords of firewood. the machine is a beast, two people can turn pile of logs into a cord of firewood in under an hour with a chainsaw and this splitter. The UHMW plastic and the sled to and bottom runners works great. I recently had bronze made for the side slides to eliminate all steel on steel friction. I also installed a twist cable throttle mounted right above the valves to have easy throttle control from both sides of the machine.
