Hey guys! You requested a vid showing you how I made this homemade edible sugar lace so here it is! I really liked how mine turned out and I think it was comparable to sugar veil. It definitely is a bit of a cheaper option. I hope this is useful for you, there are written instructions below as well:D Huge shout out to Dawn Edwards for creating the written recipe for this, I would link her original recipe but she has deleted her account and I could not find the post! Method: -Add 1 TBS Tylose powder to 1/2 cup boiling water -Mix to thoroughly combine then let the mixture set for 10-15 minutes until it is gelatinous and all of the white chunks are gone -To this add 2 TBS corn starch and 1 TBS powdered sugar -Mix until a thick paste forms -Add 1/2 TSP clear corn syrup -Add a few drops of white food coloring until its sufficiently white -If your mixture is a little too thick then you can add a TSP of boiling water at a time until it is more pliable, be careful not to add too much water. -This is the point where you would add your other coloring if you so choose -Scrape mixture into your mold ensuring that you are getting it into every nook and cranny. Scrape away any excess. -Leave overnight to dry or place in the oven at 170 degrees Fahrenheit (THIS IS THE CORRECT TEMP PLEASE DISREGARD 110 I SAID IN VIDEO) for 10-15 minutes until dry and none comes off on your finger when you touch it. If it needs longer, put it back in for 1-2 minutes at a time until dry. -Let the lace cool then gently remove it from the mold -Store in an airtight container in between sheets of parchment. Will last for several months (if it becomes brittle and breaks then it is unusable). Your left over paste will last in the fridge for up to 7 days.
