濁水溪北岸，彰化縣大城鄉最接近濁水溪出海口的村落，台西村。老村長許奕結要導覽一棟台西最崇高的建築物--三層樓仔。老村長說「這棟房子原來是要蓋給六輕員工住的，結果變成人家養鴨、養羊，鴨子住樓房！」同樣在濁水溪口，彰化大城與雲林麥寮，同樣的風頭水尾，命運卻大不同。
【Hometown Catastrophe: The Different Fates of Dacheng and Mailiao Near 6th Naphtha】
Taixi Village is located at the north bank of Zhuoshui River near the estuary of Dacheng Township in Changhua County. The former village chief, Yi-Chieh Hsu, is touring the loftiest building in Taixi called the 3-Floor Building. The old village chief said, “The building was originally intended for 6th Naphtha employees. Now it is used to raise ducks and goats.” Dacheng of Changhua and Yunlin of Mailiao are both near the mouth of Zhuoshui River, but they have very different fates.
