Adele, a dedicated surgeon, leads a busy life in the city, but when her father wins the mayoral election in their small hometown, she takes a break to join the celebrations. While there, she accidentally bumps into Grant, her best friend's younger brother, who has returned to the town to work as the local doctor. His clinic is in dire need of renovation, so Adele, following her instincts, steps in to help when Grant takes a much-needed rest. As days pass, she reconnects with her roots and grows closer to Grant, but her demanding career in the city still calls to her.
