This is a quick reference for removing the fairing and headlight shroud from my 2017 Honda Africa Twin (CRF1000L) motorcycle. This is necessary for doing a number of maintenance activities on the motorcycle, including air filter replacement, 12V wiring, access to the headlight, etc. The intent is to provide a quick guide on what needs to be done, in sequence, to efficiently get the bike plastics off. It is not intended to be an depth tutorial, so if you have more detailed questions, let me know in the comments and I'll respond asap.
Tools required:
- Allen Tools/Hex Keys: 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm
- Pick or Philips head screw driver (for push pins)
- Flat head screw driver (for push pins)
(sadly, none of these tools come in the Africa Twin tool bag)
