When your folding mirror is not responding (press the fold /unfold is not responding), some it just a dirty, DC motor out off work or gear is broken. The work based on the Honda Fit / Jazz GE-8 Repair Manual. In general, there are three steps:
1. Door trim removal
2. Folding mirror disconnect and removal
3. Folding mirror disassembly
When your folding mirror is not work, you can replace:
1. Whole mirror module (about 100 USD)
2. Folding mirror module (about 50 USD)
3. DC motor of folding mirror module (10 USD)
It's depend on how serious of the folding mirror damage and your time and challenge to repair it :-)
