The house is a mixed structure surrounding a courtyard, designed by Tsutomu Abe: reinforced concrete on the first floor and wooden on the second floor. The plants in the garden, except for the main tree planted at the time of completion, were all produced by the husband, and after more than 10 years have grown like a small forest, becoming one with the building. The zoning by the gate-shaped wall creates a varied sequence, and the contrast between open and closed spaces creates a variety of coziness.
