Here I present the process of creating a custom V-shaped leather jacket from start to finish using traditional leather tailoring techniques learned from old Swedish leather craftsmen. I begin by cutting the leather, reinforcing it to prevent stretching, and carefully assembling the pieces. The jacket's design includes a V-shape in both the front and back, requiring precise stitching and ironing for a smooth finish. The process involves Constructing discreet pockets, and cutting the lining using the leather pieces as templates. Once the lining is prepared, it's attached to the leather shell, marking the first time the jacket can be tried on. Final steps include adding the zipper, cuffs, and ensuring that seams align perfectly for a polished look. -------------------------------------------- 0:00 Intro 0:11 Cutting & reinforcing leather 01:51 Assembly of back & front pieces (with making of pocket) 04:45 Cutting the lining 07:58 Assembly of sleeves 09:08 Cutting out the ribbon & assembling lining 15:01 Making an inner pocket 17:24 Final assembly 21:31 Attaching the buttons 21:59 Posing & outro -------------------------------------------- To see more of my work visit https://sebastianselmer.com Contact.
