Tier lists have existed since basically day one of competitive gaming - and that means that, for the better part of three decades, there have been people warning new players to avoid picking bad characters.
But some players defy the meta and strike it out on their own with a low-tier pick, believing they can make anything happen, even with a bad character.
MonoPR is one of those players. He decided to play one of the worst characters in Street Fighter, and even though he was easily the best FANG player in the world, no one expected him to win a big tournament.
And yet, at CEO 2021, MonoPR did the impossible. He faced off against a god and proved that low tiers can win.
