How Are the Portal and Half-life Games Connected?

In this video analysis, I try to find the references in how both universes acknowledge each other and how they are connected. It's a question that no one has really tried answering in video format. So I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to do something about that. But it does bear the question: how are the Half-life and Portal games connected?!
