How do you get a Train over 100 feet down from a Viaduct? The Scarborough to Whitby Railway Episode 5 In this 5th and final part of my walk along the Scarborough to Whitby Railway, i take a look at how they got trains from over 100 feet up above on Larpool Viaduct down to the Esk Valley Railway Line into Whitby Town. I pick up where i left off at Prospect Hill Junction before taking the descent down towards Larpool Viaduct, this time going below this magbificent structure followng the Esk Valley to my side. Once beyond we look for the railway junction that once linked onto the current active railway line between Middlesbrough and Whitby Town Station. To finish we head towards and into Whitby Station.
